Armenian National Congress to struggle against falsifications

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Authorities have found themselves in their own trap by choosing the course towards criminalizing the pre-election process, which has quickly grown into the conflict between coalition forces," Levon Zurabyan, coordinator of Armenian National Congress told a news conference. According to him, the true face of the authorities revealed in their actions.

"The main goal of the Armenian National Congress is to carry out legitimate elections and prevention of falsifications. The main issue for us is related to election lists, which can be used by authorities to include the votes of people, who left the country," said Zurabyan. He stressed, that the authorities will try to reduce the number of international observers to the minimal level, which is 20 or 30 representatives.

According to L.Zurabyan, either General Prosecutor's office, or police are accomplices of falsifications, television is also against the Armenian National Congress, whose selective approach to information is implemented to the detriment of the Armenian National Congress and for the benefit of coalition forces and authorities.

According to Zurabyan, authorities illegally use administrative resources. He blamed Yerevan's mayor Gagik Beglaryan in violation of the Election Code and demanded his dismissal during elections.
