Yerevan to host classic music concerts

PanARMENIAN.Net - From June 8 to 10, Yerevan will host a series of concerts within "Perspectives XXI" 10th International Music Festival. Tony Arnold soprano /USA/, Movses Pogossian violin /USA/, Rohan De Saram cello /BRITAIN/, Philip O'Connor clarinet /USA/, Artur Avanesov piano /Armenia/ will perform.



The program includes: June 8. Komitas Chamber Music Hall, Z. Kodaly - Duo for violin and cello, Op.7, D. Shostakovich - Seven Romances on Poems by Alexander Blok, Op. 127, for soprano and piano trio, V. Sharafyan - Ancient Anthem for soprano and violin, H. Birtwistle - 9 settings of Lorine Niedecker for soprano and cello, B. Bartok - Contrasts, for violin, clarinet, piano



June 9 will feature a concert in the Club at 10 pm.



June 10. Komitas Chamber Music Hall, 7 pm, A. Avanesov - Zemestani/Bahari/Beheshti (2008), for violin and piano, O. Messiaen - Poemes pour Mi (1936), for soprano and piano, O. Messiaen - Quartet for the End of Time (1940), for violin, clarinet, cello, piano
