More than 4000 books to be passed to Armenia's penitentiariesJune 22, 2009 - 21:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Libraries of Abovian, Vardashen, Erebuni, Hrazdan and Sevan penitentiaries will receive some 4000 books, journals, manuals and learning aids. Collection of books was initiated by the Civil Society Institute in Armenia.Books in several languages have been donated by individuals, as well as private and public organizations. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
