Heritage party: all those arrested in March 1 case should be released

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party voted against declaration of amnesty because the document introduced in the government was "insufficient and poorly designed document."

"We think that the amnesty should have been announced in two stages. The first for those convicted in March 1 case and the second for the other prisoners," said Larisa Alaverdyan, secretary of Heritage parliamentary faction.

"The party urges immediate release of all detained after March 1 events. We are trying to take steps the authorities had to take," she said.

"I believe that Armenia will be a land of rule one day, where human rights are protected," Mrs. Alaverdyan said.
