Marxist party leader forecasts extra parliamentary elections in 2009

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will probably hold extra parliamentary elections in the second half of 2009, according to Marxist party leader David Hakobyan.

"The President can't rely on the current parliament," he said. "If the parliament is not re-elected, Armenia may see an extra presidential election."

He said will not join any force in case of parliamentary elections.

He also said that a member of parliament should not be engaged in business. "Unfortunately, politics in Armenia has become a business," Hakobyan said.
