Birth rate is 5 times the death rate in NKR Kashatagh regionJuly 17, 2009 - 13:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Currently regional population size in NKR Kashatagh region comprises about 8000 people.According to Kashatagh regional administration head Kamo Martirosyan , population rate in the region has been increasing since October 2008. "Birth rate is 5 times the death rate in NKR Kashatagh region. Besides, population size is growing because of settlement rate increase," Kamo Martirosyan stated. According to him, NKR authorities are taking their best effort to relieve population's social situation. "Villagers are provided with interest free credits to conduct agriculture works. In September 2009 they will be given credit for the purchase of cattle," Kamo Martirosyan said. Administration head emphasized current issues are mainly connected with lodging provision, infrastructure development, roads' and communications' restoration, and water supply provision. "We're actively collaborating with RA's Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions, 46 schools and 33 first-aid posts are operating in Armenia," Kamo Martirosyan noted, PanARMENIAN.Net journalist reported from Kashatagh.
