RA Diaspora Ministry discuss financial assistance to Center for Armenian studies at Berlin UniversityAugust 28, 2009 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan on August 27 met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to Germany Armen Martirosyan in Yerevan. During the meeting the officials discussed issues of cooperation between with the ministry the Armenian community of Germany. Ms. Hakobyan attached importance to creation of professional institutions in the Armenian community of Germany, in particular, establishing the community day-schools. RA Minister of Diaspora also raised the issue of financial assistance starting from of January 2010 to the Center for Armenian studies at the Open University of Berlin. Following the meeting, agreements were reached on forming the group of friends around the Ministry of Diaspora, youth agencies at the Embassy of Armenia in Germany, as well as on intensifying cultural and organizational cooperation with the Armenian community, press service of the Ministry for Diaspora of Armenia reports.
