Heritage party slams Armenian-Turkish protocols

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage opposition party members Stepan Safaryan, Larisa Alaverdyan and Armen Martirosyan criticized severely the ongoing process of normalization the Armenian-Turkish relations.

Heritage parliamentary group head Stepan Safaryan said with signature of these Armenia undertakes to recognize the current borders of Turkey.

''Besides, Armenia will have to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. As to formation of intergovernmental sub-commission on examination of historical facts, it's absolutely inadmissible,'' he said.

For her part, Larisa Alaverdyan offered all National Assembly members to urge introduction of amendments to the protocols.

Echoing his colleagues, Armen Martirosyan said that Heritage will be consistent in all issues, including Armenian-Turkish reconciliation and March 1, 2008 events.
