"ReAnimania" international animated film festival opened in YerevanOctober 3, 2009 - 19:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - First international animated film festival "ReAnimania" opened October 3 in Yerevan. The festival will be work until October 6. The festival is aimed to promote development of animation art, foster a new generation of world-class animators, establish a forum to showcase the work of the Armenian animators, to demonstrate to the Armenian audience the best samples of animated films from around the world . The festival will be attended by representatives of more than 31 countries, including France, Russia, Armenia, USA, Italy, Mali, Iran, Ukraine and other. 250 films will be screened over three days. 5 feature films and 70 short films are included in the competition program of the festival in the following categories: "Best Short Film", "Best feature film", "Best thesis", "Best TV script", "People's Choice Award" "Prize of the ministry of culture of Armenia", "Special Prize of Children". In the framework of "ReAnimania" premieres of the following works will be held: «WALTZ WITH BASHIR» of the Israeli animator Ari Folman, «SITA SINGS THE BLUES» of Nina Paley (USA), «IDIOTS AND ANGELS» of Bill Plympton (USA), etc. "ReAnimania" cooperates with Annecy international animation film festival, Stuttgart Film Festival, Aardman Studio, Galust Gulpenkian Foundation, Golden Apricot" International Film Festival " and others.
