New financial instruments to appear in Armenian capital market

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Government may introduce new financial instruments related to foreign exchange, Armen Melikyan, CEO of NASDAQ OMX Armenia Stock Exchange, said.



According to him, among new financial instruments will be SWOP and derivative securities. "Most of them will be corporate bonds, which will prevail in the coming years," he said. 



According to Armen Melikyan, development of capital market depends not only on activities implemented by the government and the NASDAQ OMX Armenia Stock Exchange, but also from the mutual work of investment companies and the public, potential investors.  



Accordingly, to develop the capital market money must be invested today, Armen Melikyan said.
