Gevork Eazchian: Armenian history falsified

PanARMENIAN.Net - To protest the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations, Gevorg Eazchian, candidate of historical sciences and the head of the Genocide Department of the Yerevan State University (YSU) Institute for Armenology Studies on October 5, submitted the statement with his resignation to the YSU Rector Aram Simonyan.



Gevork Eazchian in his statement expressed its disagreement with the current process of settlement of the Armenian-Turkish relations and qualified it as "national treason". 



In his letter, he called unacceptable the silent agreement of Armenian historians and emphasized that "there is no greater desecration than the deliberate distortion of the own history".
