Armenia to have new national park and wildlife preserve

PanARMENIAN.Net - Government Thursday adopted a decision on opening "Arevik" national park and "Zangezur" wildlife preserve in Syunik region.



The new national park will have total area of 34 hectares, covering the water basins of Meghri, Shvindzor and Nuvadi rivers.

Zangezur state wildlife preserve will have a total area of 17 thousand hectares and cover the upper reaches of Voghdji river, Government decision also envisages environmental enhancement and social-economic projects for the region.
