SCRW launches Yerevan-Ararat electric train

PanARMENIAN.Net - To expand the network of local railway transfers, South Caucasian Railways CJSC resolved to launch Yerevan-Ararat electric train, starting November 1, 2009.



The train will be leaving Yerevan twice a day: at 9.30 a.m. and 2.10 p.m.



From now on, Yerevan-Ararat-Yerevan route will take 63 minutes. Ticket price - AMD 300 , with a 50% discount for students.



SCR CJSC is a 100% shareholder of "Russian Railways" OJSC. Armenian Railways CJSC was transferred to South Caucasian Railway's concessionary management under a concessionary agreement dated February 13, 2008. The agreement was signed for 30-year term, with possible extension of 10 years.
