Samvel Karapetyan: Armenians do not desecrate graves

PanARMENIAN.Net - Baku's statements on demolition of Azeri graves in Nagorno Karabakh are false, said Samvel Karapetyan, the head of Research on Armenian Architecture NGO.

"There can be several gravestones in Aghdam which have just fallen. Armenians do not desecrate graves. But unfortunately the same cannot be said about Azerbaijan's behavior. We received photos of Armenian Voskakapat village of Getashen region, were the cemetery and the church were completely demolished," Karapetyan said.

He also reminded that no Armenian monuments was left in Old Djugha. "There were 218 churches and a great number of khachkars. All were destroyed barbarously," Karapetyan said.
