RA Ministry of Justice not to comment on the escape of two life prisoners

PanARMENIAN.Net - Following the numerous requests from various media about the escape from Nubarashen penal institution of two life prisoners, RA Ministry of Justice reiterates that it refrains from publishing any information on the matter. As the press service of RA justice ministry reports, the preliminary investigation is carried out by the Special Investigation Service.



November 27 at 6:00 p.m. two life prisoners Soghomon Kocharyan and Mher Yenokyan escaped from the Yerevan-based Nubarashen penal institution, Arsen Babayan, spokesman of the criminal executive department of the RA justice ministry said. "All necessary steps to locate the place of escaped convicts are taken. At this moment nothing is known about the runaway," he said.



34-year-old Mher Yenokyan and 43-year-old Soghomon Kocharyan condemned to life imprisonment for murder, and they crash out of the prison for the second time. The first time they eloped in December 2004 from "Goris" penal institution, but a few weeks later had been detained and transferred to "Nubarashen".
