"Votaries of Education and Science" exhibition-contest opens in YerevanDecember 8, 2009 - 17:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Votaries of Education and Science" exhibition-contest devoted to Armenia's Independence Day opened today in Yerevan.The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture in Cooperation with Yerevan State Engineering University. "There are both students and teachers participating in the contest which aims to increase students' demand for painting and reveal new talents," said contest committee member Mkrtich Minasyan, Head of Architects' Union. Other committee members are RA Chief Architect Narek Sargsyan, Head of Armenian Painters' Union Karen Aghamyan, Head of Designers' Union Ashot Baghdasaryan and others. Opening ceremony was also attended by committee Co-Chairs - Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan and People's Architect, Academician Jim Torosyan.
