Valdis Zatlers: Armenians contribute to Latvia's development

PanARMENIAN.Net - Latvian President Valdis Zatlers Friday visited Holy See of St. Echmiadzin to meet with Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II.



Welcoming the guest, Catholicos stressed AAC's paramount role in Armenians' life.



"We are happy that Armenians in your country enjoy the right to religious freedom. Latvia currently has an Armenian church and a Sunday school which will hopefully become an everyday school," the Catholicos noted.



Thanking the Patriarch for warm meeting, Latvian President said, "As law abiding citizens of Latvia, Armenians contribute to the country's development."
