PanARMENIAN.Net -
Hovhannes Tumanyan's Puppet Theater Museum is completely ready for opening, Ruben Babayan, art director of Hovhannes Tumanyan's Yerevan State Puppet Theater said.

"We're only waiting for RA Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan for gala opening of the museum," he noted in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

"The museum building was fully repaired, and all exhibits were restored. New puppets presented to the museum were preserved in good conditions in museum archives," Hasmik Poghosyan stated.

Though official opening was not yet announced, the museum is operating, ready for visitors. The gala opening will take place in early February 2010.

Puppet Museum

Puppet Museum was founded in 1975, thanks to persistence and great personal contribution of Pavlos Boloyan.

The museum was robbed and closed in 1990s. In 2002, the museum collection was restored due to financial assistance of All Armenian Fund.

The museum will feature 300 exhibits, among them - a collection of puppets presented by Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
