Informative website on finance launched in YerevanJanuary 14, 2010 - 13:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Central Bank of Armenia presented Thursday a new educational and informative Finance for All website and screened a film about payment cards. According to the head of consumer protection and market research section of financial system policy and financial stability department of CBA Armine Mkrtchyan, the CBA consistently implements the policy of raising population's literacy. The site is designed for an average user: student, teacher or any person without professional background in the field. Armine Mkrtchyan informed, that the site present educational materials on various topics not burdened by complicated terminology, a special financial dictionary, crossword puzzles and interesting problems that will also facilitate the learning process. There is also a formula enabling a consumer to calculate monthly payments on loans and FAQ sector. As for the presentation of a training film on payment cards, "the theme was chosen due to its urgency." Ms. Mkrtchyan informed that the film will be circulated among schools and universities of Armenia, as well as during trainings carried out by the CBA. The Central Bank of Armenia, Ministry of Education and Science and the Office of Financial Ombudsman assisted in the preparation of the website and the film.
