BSEC countries sign declaration on energy cooperation with EUApril 10, 2008 - 16:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Member countries of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation signed a joint declaration on energy cooperation with the European Union. The document was signed during a meeting of BSEC Ministers of Energy held in Kyiv on April 7-9. According to Ukrainian Deputy Energy Minister Sergei Pavlusha, the member countries agreed on coordination of process of harmonization of legislation and regulations between the BSEC and EU. Besides, the EU will be offered to join BSEC for ensuring energy security in the region. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
