Armen Ronov's film awarded in "Letter to Man" international festival

PanARMENIAN.Net - The film of Armen Ronov "Anna and Karenin" was awarded a medal "For revealing new capabilities of cinema language in lime lighting the timeless topic of love" at the XIX International festival for short, documentary and animation films Letter to Man in Saint Petersburg.



Vladimir Msryan, Tatev Melkonyan, Alen Sedoyan and Artem Manukyan stared in the film. The film is an original interpretation of the idea of forgiveness, told by means of experimental cinema, has been created at the National Cinema Center of Armenia. Earlier, authors of "Anna and Karenin" applied to participate in the VI international film festival "Golden Apricot" but were denied for the reason of 'aesthetic irrelevance to requirements of the festival', Armen Ronov said.



"Work of a young producer should be valuated on time, as it deserves. Unfortunately, our society praise the talent after death, as it was with Sergey Parajanov and Artavazd Peleshian, Vladimir Msryan said.



Premier of "Anna and Karenin" is projected for fall.



Armen Ronov was born in 1971 in Yerevan. In 1996 he has graduated the Yerevan State Institute of Cinema and Theatre. He studied in Milano Cinema School. In 2000 he debuted with documentary "Amen". His first feature film "Poprishin" (2007) was awarded national and international prizes. He shoot "Phantom" (2001), "Narek" (2002), "Vardan", "Gregory" (2003), "Sermon 8\34" (2004), "Witch-hunt" (2005), "Carlos", "Felix" (2006), "Speransa" (2007), etc.
