Armen Ronov-Mkrtchyan: My films were not screened in Armenia, though they were shot hereJuly 10, 2009 - 22:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Anna and Karenin" film authored by Armenian director Armen Ronov-Mkrtchyan was awarded a medal for innovational approach at the annual international film festival "A message to a man" held in St. Petersburg. Well known Armenian actor Vladimir Msryan starred the movie. "Anna and Karenin" film was followed by "Collection of Poems" movie, drawing on Armen Abovyan's verses. Currently the director is working at "Winter apple" film, shot with the use of newest animation technologies. "My movies contain no clichés, rape scenes, crime. They portray kindness and love," the director noted at news conference. "My films weren't screened in Armenia; though it's important they're shot here."
