People's Artist of Armenia Sergei Danielyan dies

PanARMENIAN.Net - People's Artist of Armenia, opera singer, a professor at the Yerevan State Conservatoire after Komitas Sergei Danielyan died in Yerevan. By the decision of RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan a state commission was established to organize the funeral Sergei Danielyan.



Sergei Danielyan was born in 1929 in Baku, where he received his musical education. In 1957, he was invited to the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after Alexander Spendiaryan, and soon became one of the leading soloists. Sergei Danielyan performed at venues around the world and was awarded many honorary awards and honors.



Since 1968 he taught at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas. Many famous Armenian singers have been his students.



Farewell to a prominent arts worker Sergei Danielyan will be held Dec. 5 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Chamber Music Hall after Komitas.
