Film budgeting comprised AMD 350 million. Sasna Tsrer was created by scriptwriter and director Arman Manaryan and production designer Vardan Zakaryan. The voices in the animation film were dubbed by acclaimed masters of Armenian cinema and theatre: Karen Janibekyan, Ervand Manaryan, Vahagn Grigoryan, Zhenya Avetisyan, Khoren Abrahamyan and others. Sasna Tsrer is the first Armenian animation film, as well the first screen version of the Armenian epos.
