The political crisis occurred because of contradictions between the government formed from moderate Islamists and the generals dissatisfied with Erdoghan's passion for Koran, is being deepened. Last week ssession of the Security Council took place in Ankara, during which the militarists demanded that the government stopped its support to extremist religious organizations.
