They also created #1mar hashtag in microblog Twitter, where they inform of the mass rally dated to the 3rd anniversary of the March 1, 2008 events, when 10 people were killed and thousands injured. Armenian opposition follows the example of Tunisia and Egypt as well as other Arab states, where organizers of disorders employed social media to implement their plans.

All admit that Armenia is facing social discontent and division of the public. Despite the leadership’s resoluteness to struggle against these phenomena, social tensions grow and the recent statements by the opposition demonstrate their intention to grab power on the wave of popular discontent.

Wrestling: Olympic Games bronze winner, World Championship silver winner and European Champion Roman Amoyan (55kg) won gold medal and became the best wrestler of the tournament at the Grand Prix in Slovenia. Arthur Shahinyan (84kg) is also among the tournament winners. Chief Coach of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team, Olympic Games champion Levon Julfalakyan said that Armenian wrestlers participated successfully “Amoyan is among Armenia’s experienced sportsmen and displayed his best qualities at the tournament. The result of Vahan Juharyan (66kg), who won bronze, was good as well,” Julfalakyan said. European champion and World Championship silver winner Arsen Julfalakyan (74kg) also won bronze. According to the Chief Coach, Julfalakyan did not manage to qualify for the finals due to judges’ mistake.
