CONFERENCE OF ARMENIAN AND IRANIAN ENTREPRENEURS CLOSED IN TEBRIZ

PanARMENIAN.Net - A two-day joint conference of enterpreneurs from Armenia and Iran closed in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tebriz yesterday, reported Irna. The conference participants discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral commercial and economic cooperation. Round tables were held within the conference framework. These referred to specific issues of the Iranian-Armenian cooperation. Armenian entrepreneurs also visited industrial and agricultural enterprises, as well as cultural, historical and tourist sights of Tebriz and Eastern Azerbaijan. Conference participants said in their speeches that direct commercial and economic ties between Iranian province of Eastern Azerbaijan and Armenia rapidly develop recently. Armenia is the second after Turkey on commodity turnover volume of Eastern Azerbaijan. Last year the goods turnover between Tebriz and Yerevan increased 81%, making $117 million.
