PETERSBURG TRADE CENTER TO OPEN IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian received the delegation headed by Saint Petersburg governor Valentina Matvienko who arrived in Armenia to participate in the events dedicated to the Days of Saint Petersburg in Armenia. Mentioning that progress is obvious in Armenia, Valentina Matvienko said that their aim is not to restore the previous links with Armenia but also to outline new directions of cooperation which will be reflected in the program of cooperation between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg for the coming three years. According to Matvienko, the parties can cooperate in the fields of education and science. R. Kocharian and V. Matvienko found the exchange of information between the sides extremely important. «Saint Petersburg is known as the center of culture and science while Armenia was aslways remarkable for its scientific and educational potential», the governor said. She also informed that Petersburg Trade Center will be founded in Yerevan in near future.
