Wages in Armenia increased by 16,4%April 20, 2009 - 17:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In January-March 2009, average nominal wages in Armenia increased by 16,4%, compared with 2008 results. According to RA National Statistical Service data, average monthly salaries comprised AMD 97899, which is unsatisfactory, as a consumer price index growth of 0,7% was registered in January-March 2009, compared with 2008 results. Average monthly salary comprised AMD 80682 in government-financed organizations and AMD 123501 in private organizations, showing an increase of 18,1% and 13,1% accordingly, compared with January-March 2008.
