IMF to provide maximum assistance to ArmeniaMay 13, 2009 - 16:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan has received Ratna Sahay, IMF Assistant Director for Middle East and Central Asia Department, RA Government Press Service reports. The meeting wes also attended by IMF representative in Armenia Ninke Omes and Head of IMF mission to Armenia Mark Louis. Expressing satisfaction with IMF- Armenia cooperation, PM Sargsyan briefly introduced the process of Armenia's economic development, current situation and steps towards overcoming crisis. He also stressed that Government's activities are mainly targeted at promoting economic growth. In her turn, Ratna Sahay noted that IMF attaches great importance to cooperaiton with Armenia and is willing to provide maximum assistance to the country. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
