NKR President requests development of tourism programsJune 18, 2009 - 14:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan convoked Monday a working consultation on the development of tourism in the republic. Head of the tourism department under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers Sergei Shahverdyan delivered a report, which was followed by a debate. The President considered important the development of tourism in the country, calling it one of the strategically important directions. He requested to elaborate and present a tourism development program, which would encompass a comprehensive and well-grounded assessment of the current situation as well as prospects of its development, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.
