Iranian-Russian transport committee to hold 3rd meetingJuly 18, 2009 - 15:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Iranian-Russian transport committee will hold its 3rd meeting to discuss cooperation. The decision was taken during a meeting between the Head of Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization Shahriar Afandizadeh and Deputy Minister of transport Sergey Aristarkhov, Iranian state-run news agency Irna reported. The meeting participants focused on transport cooperation, specifically the North-South corridor. Earlier, Armenia also announced intention to join North-South agreement. ![]() ![]() Armenia's international reserves amounted to $3.5 billion, according to a report from the country's Central Bank. Trade between Armenian and Iranian increased by 43.5% in the first 10 months of 2022, rising from $390 million to around $560 million. There’s a growing demand for Armenian sprits in Russia amid Western sanctions on the supply of alcohol to the country.
