In particular, such amendments envisage rescheduling Construction of Meghri's hydro-power plant for 2010-2015.Such amendments were necessitated by a recently signed memorandum of understanding between Armenian and Iranian Energy Ministries, which particularly concerned Meghri Hydro Power Plant construction, RA Government's press service reports. Armenia and Iran plan to construct 2 hydro-power plants in the frontier zone on the bank of Araks. One of power plants will be located in Meghri, Armenia, while the other will be situated in Karachilar, Iran. Each station will have an annual estimated capacity of 800 million kWt/hour, which makes them the most powerful in South Caucasus.
