Armenia at the forefront in vodka consumption in the world

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia ranks 2nd -3rd in the world by vodka consumption per person, Misha Stepanyan , member of the National Assembly of Armenia told a press conference in Yerevan today.



"According to official data the vodka consumption per person is 15 liters per year in Armenia ", he said.



Armenian consumers are behind Russia, where consumption per person is 18 liters per year. 



According to MP, Armenia lags far behind Europe in vine consumption figures, where one person drinks about 50 liters of vine per year. "We drink only 1 liter of wine per year, while in Russia this figure is equal to 10 liters per year", Misha Stepanyan said.
