Armenia to introduce tax policy impact modelOctober 28, 2009 - 16:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - By the recommendation of Economy Ministry, Ameria company is conducting a survey among Armenia's big taxpayers. "The survey aims at collecting data for creating a general economic equilibrium model," Head of Ameria consulting told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent.General balance calculation model will be used for analyzing the impact of tax policy changes upon the country's economic growth. The new model, according to company Head, will help predict economy's situation in case of changing data entry system, particularly in tax sphere. "For instance, if we reduce GDP from 20% to 18% or increase or decrease income tax, how it will impact the country's economy," Sahakyan said. The survey is conducted within the frames of a WB Institutional Development Fund's grant program with the purpose of supporting RA Economy Ministry's analytical capacities through providing reliable information for the General Balance Equilibrium Model based on survey results.
