Ashot Osipyan: consolidation of Armenian banks will continue

PanARMENIAN.Net - At May 31 news conference, Araratbank CEO Ashot Osipyan forecasted ongoing consolidation of Armenian commercial banks, characterizing the latter as natural process.

“Given RA GDP volume and local population size, 11-15 commercial banks are optimal to Armenia,” Ashot Osipyan stated.

On March 31, 2010 Ameriabank and Cascade Bank signed consolidation agreement.
