RA Prime Minister to visit Shanghai Expo 2010 in September

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Tian Changchun, the government's press service reported.

Greeting the guest, the PM hailed the dynamic development of the Armenian-Chinese relations and noted the importance of Armenia's participation in Shanghai Expo 2010. He also pointed out to the launch of a joint Armenian-Chinese enterprise on production of chloroprene rubber–Shanxi-Nairit.

The Prime Minister also said that he will pay a visit to China in September, during the days of Armenian culture as part of Shanghai Expo 2010.

Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for the provided technical assistance.

Specifically,20mlnYuanaidand 88ambulances were provided to the Armenian government under the June 2 Armenian-Chinese agreement on technical and economic cooperation.

Amb. Changchunconveyed the Chinese Prime Minister's greetings to his Armenian counterpart and noted that China is interested in boosting cooperation with Armenia in different fields.

The two men discussed outlooks for expanding bilateral economic cooperation and implementation of joint programs. Specifically, details of a regular sitting of the Armenian-Chinese intergovernmental commission and organization of the Armenian-Chinese business forum were in the focus of the meeting.
