3.1% GDP growth registered in Armenia in January-August 2010![]() September 22, 2010 - 15:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to preliminary statistical data, Armenia’s GDP was 3.1% higher in January-August 2010 as compared with the same period in 2009. The RA National Statistical Service reported that GDP amounted to AMD 2,042,788,800,000. Besides, consumer prices were 7.7% higher in January-August 2010 as compared with the same period last year. The monthly inflation rate reached 1.3%. The 2010 Armenian national budget envisages 1.2% economic growth and 4±1.5% inflation. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
