Citizens should be aware of company owners’ names

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the October 14 sitting, the Armenian government adopted bills on introduction of amendments to the RA Laws on Joint Stock Companies and Security Markets.

Armenian Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan noted that the amendments regulate usage of information contained in the register of specialized organizations owners. “The governmental decision will secure transparency of company owners’ activity, as it is of an anticorruption nature,” said Davtyan, adding that the register will not contain information on certain personal data of shareholders.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted for his part that the introduction of amendments will provide citizens with the opportunity to find out the names of joint stock companies owners.

“Our state should secure a relevant environment to make this information available for all enterprises,” concluded Sargsyan.
