ArmRosgazprom denies rumors on gas tariffs decrease

PanARMENIAN.Net - On the eve of heating season, rumors on gas tariffs decrease from AMD 132 per cu m to 90 are afloat among Armenia’s population.

However, as ArmRosgazprom spokesperson Shushan Sardaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net current tariffs will remain unchanged till April 1, 2010.

By decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the gas prices have risen 37.5%, totaling AMD 132 against the previous AMD 96 for ordinary consumers, and 13%, totaling USD 243.13 for 1 thousand cu m for enterprises respectively since April 1, 2010.

Earlier, Gazprom announced the transfer for marketable price formation with Belarus, Moldova and Armenia, with increase in gas tariffs in the region envisaged. As the company representative noted, details of new pricing will be announced in due time.
