Gagik Minasyan: committee for financial issues taking steps to prevent upsurge of egg prices

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the standing parliamentary committee for financial, credit and budgetary affairs Gagik Minasyan explained the current shortage of eggs in the markets of Yerevan by the fact that the demand outgrew supply in pre-holiday period.

“The committee is tackling the issue to prevent the ungrounded upsurge of prices,” he said, precluding the possibility of antimonopoly agreement, which would result in penalties for the initiators.

“I’m far from believing that business entities are keeping the eggs in their warehouses so as to sell them in future,” Minasyan said.
