Hrazdan TPP 5th power unit to be put into operation in 2011January 10, 2011 - 13:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During the January 10, 2011 meeting, Acting CEO of ArmRosgazprom CJSC Vardan Harutyunyan instructed the company’s divisions to summarize and prepare performance reports for 2010, specifically, to present financial and economic indices, as well as indices of the gasification program, establishment of safety systems and other programs. He also instructed to submit projects for 2011 and organize relevant discussions on them. Importance was attached to financial discipline and expenditures optimization, as well as to measures aimed at losses reduction, the company’s press service reported. Harutyunyan noted that the year of 2011 will be of special importance for the company, specifically, with respect to completion of construction of the 5th power unit of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant (TPP). The unit is scheduled to be put into exploitation in the first quarter of 2011. Harutyunyan stressed the necessity to study the market of electric power export today for the complete implementation of this large-scale investment program and achievement of the strategic goal. Besides, he noted that works should be carried out in 2011 to increase the quality of provided services.
