Sargsyan, ADB Vice President discuss investment programs in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 11, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Xiaoyu Zhao.

Mr. Sargsyan praised the ADB’s activity in Armenia and region as a whole, as well as thanked for the bank’s assistance to Armenia for mitigation of the global economic crisis consequences, the presidential press service reported.

“Cooperation with ADB is aimed at securing sustainable economic growth and infrastructures development in Armenia,” said Sargsyan.

The Armenian leader attached importance to key programs implemented through the assistance of ADB, as well as investment programs aimed at regional development.

The parties also referred to the bank’s possible assistance in preparation of the program for North-South railroad construction, creation of infrastructures needed for agricultural products export, as well as aid to small and medium enterprises.
