WB to continue providing assistance to ArmeniaMay 30, 2011 - 21:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan and Asad Alam, WB Regional Director for the South Caucasus Countries, visited Syunik province of Armenia. They familiarized themselves with the works carried out in the province through WB’s assistance, as well as discussed opportunities for new programs. Alam said the World Bank will continue providing assistance to Armenia for implementation of projects aimed at economic growth. He also noted that the programs implemented in Armenia are rated as those of high efficiency. Besides, Alam praised the role of the Armenian government and WB’s local staff in the programs implementation.
