Stress test at Armenian NPP to be launched in July

PanARMENIAN.Net - A stress test at Armenian NPP will be launched in July, with the results to be submitted to EU interdependent experts' consideration before the yearend.

As Armenian State Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee chairman Ashot Martirosyan told a news conference in Yerevan, international experts will work out recommendations on nuclear safety increase within the next few months.

The idea of stress tests to be initiated at all European NPP was triggered by recent disaster at Japan’s Fukushima power plant.
