Armenian NewPlast Company needs advertisement at external markets

PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 20, Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan visited NewPlast cjsc, which was the pioneer to set production of metal-plastic and polymer pipes, as well as fastening details, 20% of which is exported to Russia and Georgia.

The Minister familiarized himself with production capacities of the company, saw the laboratory, which is used not only for controlling its own production but also imported products.

Minister Davtyan praised the management of the company which handles its tasks and may serve as an example for other companies willing to manufacture export-oriented production.

Commenting on issues of governmental assistance, the Minister said that the government may aid in expansion of the market, provision of certificate of the country of origin as well as financial assistance and relief of tax burden in case of increase of production and import of state-of-the-art equipment.

For his part, NewPlast trade representative Hovhannes Azizyan noted that the company with its production meeting international standards, currently needs the government assistance to promote the production at the external markets through large-scale advertising campaign. The main competitor at potential markets is considered to be Turkey, whose producers are actively marketing their output.

To date, the company holds 30% of the local market, besides, as of the results of 2011, the company plans to revive the pre-crisis rate of production. As of June 1, 2011, AMD169,1 million worth production has been produced at NewPlast cjsc, out of which export totaled AMD37,8 million.
