ARMENIAN COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE FOOD EXHIBITION IN BEIRUT

PanARMENIAN.Net - 8 foodstuff producing companies will for the first time represent Armenia at Goreka-2004 international exhibition, which will be organized in Beirut April 27-30. Gohar Harutyunian, the representative of DAIASME program contributing to the participation of the Armenian enterprises in the show, told Armenpress agency that the traditional exhibition in Beirut attracted Armenian companies' attention last year, when their six representatives conducted a monitoring of the Near East market. In G. Harutyunian's words, the research showed that some kinds of Armenian foodstuffs can be competitive in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria and the importers of these countries became interested in them. According to her evaluation, the presence of numerous Armenian communities and comparably easy system of channels of communication appear as a favorable factor for spreading of Armenian products at those markets.
