AZERBAIJAN TO LET US SERVICEMEN IN

PanARMENIAN.Net - US mobile units will be deployed in Azerbaijan in the near future. The agreement is to be achieved till the weekend in the course of Azeri defense minister Safar Abiyev's visit to Washington, Nezavisimaya Gazeta Russian newspaper reports according to a diplomatic authority. The newspaper informs that during the visit Pentagon's intention to train Azeri soldiers - as in Georgia earlier - will be announced. Besides, the newspaper goes on, the US is interested in modernization and reconstruction of military airdrome to deploy the US mobile forces at the earliest possible date. All the provisions of the individual agreement on cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO are also awaiting final coordination thus assisting the country in becoming an aspirant to the Alliance.
