Armenia, NATO deepen cooperation in arms control

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, on April 13, Yerevan hosted a conference on NATO and new tendencies in modern world, organized by Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC).

In his speech director of the center Stepan Grigoryan stressed the necessity of Armenia’s cooperation with NATO, noting that relations between Armenia and the Atlantic Alliance have entered a new stage recently.

NATO Division head at RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gagik Hovhannisyan, in turn, noted that back in 2005 an individual action plan was signed in the framework of Armenia-NATO cooperation, with parties already having started the implementation of 2011-2013 program, especially in the field of emergency situations and arms control. He further stressed Armenia’s readiness to have its input to maintenance of peace in globalizing world.
