  Armenian government takes moves to tackle unemploymentApril 18, 2012 - 17:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The government implements a number of programs to create new jobs and cut the unemployment rate, Artak Simonyan, deputy head of State Employment Service Agency of Armenia (SESA) said on April 18. He presented the programs currently implemented by the government. One of the programs envisages partial salary compensation to the employer for providing work for non-competitive people due to which 62 job seekers, including 29 disabled people already found work in 2012. Other programs include financial support for entrepreneurship and vocational education for unemployed. Simonyan said a number of programs were implemented with support of the UN and USAID Armenian office, as well as several agreements have been signed.
